Session Information

Regionally, there has been growing concern about the low percentage of students assessed annually, facilitating their advancement to higher education. Concomitantly, students need to gain new and complex skill sets to transition to their future place in life successfully. The mandate of the Council is to develop globally relevant qualifications and, through appropriate strategies, assess and recognize the competencies of the students in the Caribbean. CXC® has designed a new product innovation model undergirded by our skills and competency framework and digital transformation strategy to facilitate greater flexibility and more opportunities for assessing our NexGen Digital Natives. Given the fast-paced movement of technology, a key component of CXC's Digital Transformation Strategy is to directly address the responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in assessment to ensure the continued issuance of quality digital credentials. Some key principles included are the preservation of academic integrity, the ethical use of Generative AI, ensuring data privacy and security, and facilitating assessment of those with exceptionalities.
