Post-Conference University Visit

Post-Conference University Visit
October 23 | Bus from Cavtat to Dubrovnik

After the conference lunch on Thursday, participants will leave Hotel Croatia for Dubrovnik to visit the University of Dubrovnik. The university visit will last about 1.5 to 2 hours.

This event is limited to the first 20 attendees who sign up. TAICEP has arranged for a bus to take the group from the Hotel Croatia to the University of Dubrovnik at a US$20 cost per person. Transportation back to Dubrovnik will be on your own and at your own expense by ferry, public bus, or taxi. This will permit you to stay in Dubrovnik for a few hours after the university visit to explore its wonders.

The University of Dubrovnik (UNIDU) is one of Croatia's top public universities and is only a 15–20-minute walk from the Old Town of Dubrovnik. A visit to the university can easily be combined with a tour of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The University is a modern, forward-thinking institution with strong ties to Dubrovnik's rich maritime history. It was officially established in 2003 and has roots stretching back to the founding of a seafarers college in 1959. Today, UNIDU offers diverse programs, including maritime sciences, but also emphasizes areas like economics, engineering, and the arts.

It has 1500 students from 40 countries, 15 undergraduate and 13 graduate programs.
