Session Information

The basis for a correct and informative evaluation of credentials is finding correct and reliable information on educational systems and the content and learning outcomes of different programs and qualifications. In recent years, the Swedish Enic-Naric office (The Swedish Council for Higher Education) has taken a more systematic approach to updating the evaluation guidelines for upper secondary credentials, resulting in more frequent updates and a stronger foundation for our assessments. In this presentation, the Swedish Enic-Naric office will present the methods used for obtaining and interpreting information on the structure and content of different educational systems, focusing on upper secondary education. We will share our experience regarding finding the information and contacts needed, as well as how to evaluate the relevance and origin of the sources. We will also present our methods for using the information obtained to update our guidelines on the evaluation of upper secondary credentials.
