The presenters will focus on how war, displacement, and rising application volumes are challenging education systems across Europe. The presentation will consist of three parts (War and Education: The Ukrainian Gambit; Lost in the Maze: Credential Challenges for Ukrainian Qualifications; and High Application Volumes - Smarter Tools and Integrated Services) delving into the complexities of the subtopics. The focal topic of the war and student displacement will be connected to the current state of Ukrainian education affected by the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict and war. The presenters will provide the updated information on how Ukrainian education is functioning during the war, changes and updates in the education system, access to higher education with NMT/ZNO external examinations, the relocated higher education institutions and temporarily occupied territories (TOT), the educational credential verification options and detection of fake documents, and opportunities for internally and externally displaced Ukrainian students. In response to high application volumes digital and unifying solutions will be contributed. This session will be provided by the experienced evaluation representatives from five countries: Ukraine, Poland, the UK, Norway and the USA.
