This presentation is divided into two parts. The first part will provide an overview of the current education system in Portugal. The second part will examine its impact on the education systems of PALOP countries today, focusing on the legacy of colonial education and the unique challenges these countries face. This section will include a country-specific analysis of secondary and post-secondary education structures, grading systems, accreditation bodies, and national qualifications frameworks. In conclusion, we will discuss the role of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) in promoting Portuguese-speaking student mobility and fostering educational collaboration within the Lusophone community.
