The Association for Credential Evaluation Professionals (TAICEP) is a membership organization for anyone involved in the specialized field of international credential evaluation. Our members represent higher education institutions, independent evaluation agencies, ENIC/NARIC offices, government ministries, licensing authorities, examination boards, awarding bodies, and other organizations.
At each TAICEP annual conference, credential evaluators from around the world, both those new to the field as well as those with years of experience, come together to learn, to share knowledge, to network, and to promote the interests of our unique industry.
The TAICEP Conference and Professional Development Committees invite you to share your expertise by submitting a proposal to present a workshop or session at the TAICEP Conference, October 20-23, in Cavtat, Croatia.
This year's theme is: Shaping Our Future: Knowledge, Skills, Success.

TAICEP Conference Cancellation Terms
TAICEP reserves the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any of the arrangements relating directly or indirectly to its annual conference and/or the conference itself, for any circumstances beyond TAICEP’s reasonable control. TAICEP will not accept liability for any losses and/or damages registered participants may suffer on account of any alteration or cancellation. Participants are responsible for adequately arranging their own travel, personal liability and health insurance prior to attending a TAICEP conference.
Registered participants may receive a refund of conference and workshop registration costs paid to TAICEP, minus the following cancellation fees:
A. $50 fee if the cancellation is made by TAICEP, or if the conference attendee cancels prior to 30 days before the conference. This fee helps offset TAICEP’s per attendee administrative costs.
B. $250 fee if the conference attendee cancels between 30 days prior and one day before the conference begins. This fee helps offset non-refundable, per attendee food and beverage costs.
C. No refunds will be made if the conference attendee cancels on or after the first day of the conference.
Fees for additional activities such as networking events may or may not be refunded depending on TAICEP’s ability to secure refunds for these events from vendors. Participants in additional activities who do not show up at an activity will be charged the full fee.
Attendee substitutions are permitted without penalty but must be done in advance of the conference and requests should be sent via email to answers@taicep.org.
Photo and Video Release
By attending the TAICEP Conference, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording, interviews and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by TAICEP. You release TAICEP and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.
Exhibiting Rules and Regulations
By purchasing an Exhibitor Table, the Exhibitor agrees to abide by all rules, regulations, terms, and conditions as outlined in this Agreement.
1. TAICEP does not endorse the programs, products, or services of the exhibiting organizations/corporations.
2. TAICEP reserves the right to exercise its sole discretion in the acceptance or refusal of any request to exhibit at the TAICEP Conference.
3. Payment for exhibit space will be refunded, less a $100 processing fee, if a written request for cancellation is received by TAICEP no later than 90 days prior to the conference. No refunds will be made for cancellations after 90 days prior to the conference and/or if the company fails to attend the meeting.
4. Exhibitor agrees to pay all fees, charges, and/or expenses covered in this contract on demand. In the event that TAICEP is forced to seek legal remedy to collect amounts due from the Exhibitor, all charges related to the collection of unpaid amounts will become the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor. If Exhibitor fails to make payments when they are due, the space assignment is subject to cancellation or reassignment at the option of TAICEP, without obligation for refund.
5. Authorized TAICEP conference planners reserve the right to fix the time for exhibitor set-up and take down. Installation of all exhibits must be fully completed by the opening time of the exposition.
6. No exhibitor shall assign, sublet, or share the space allotted with another business or firm unless approval has been obtained in writing from authorized TAICEP conference planners. Exhibitors are not permitted to feature names or advertisements of non-exhibiting manufacturers, distributors, or agents in the exhibitor’s display, parent or subsidiary companies. Exhibitors must show only goods manufactured or dealt by them in the regular course of business. Should an article of non-exhibiting firm be required for operation or demonstration in an exhibitor’s display, identification of such article shall be limited to the usual and regular name plate, imprint, or trademark under which same is sold in the general course of business. No firm or organization not assigned exhibit space will be permitted to solicit business within the exhibit areas.
7. Each exhibitor must name at least one person to be his representative in connection with installation, operation, and removal of the firm’s exhibit. Such representative shall be authorized to enter into such service contracts as may be necessary and for which the exhibitor shall be responsible. The exhibitor shall assume responsibility for such representative being in attendance throughout all exposition periods; and this representative shall be responsible for keeping the exhibit neat, manned, and orderly at all times.
8. All property of the exhibitor remains under exhibitor’s custody and control in transit to and from the exhibit space and while it is in the confines of the exhibit space. Neither TAICEP, the management of the exhibit space, nor any of the officers or directors of any of the same are responsible for the safety of the property of exhibitors from theft, damage by fire, accident, vandalism, or other causes, and the exhibitor expressly waives and releases any claim or demand he may have against any of them by reason of any damage to or loss of any property of the exhibitor. It is recommended that exhibitors obtain adequate insurance coverage, at their own expense, for property loss or damage and liability for personal injury.
9. Exhibitor hereby agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TAICEP from any and all claims, demands, suits and liability for any damage, loss, harm or injury to any person or any property of the Exhibitor and its officers, agents, employees, or representatives. Exhibitor assumes responsibility and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TAICEP and their respective employees and agents against any claims or expenses arising out the use of the exhibition premises, including but not limited to, any cost incurred as a result of alleged violation of copyright arising out of the use of mechanically or electronically reproduced music. The Exhibitor understands that neither TAICEP nor the conference venue maintain insurance covering the Exhibitor’s property, and it is the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor to obtain such insurance.
10. Exhibitors are expected to maintain a business-like atmosphere. TAICEP reserves the right to request that offending companies reduce their noise level and/or other actions and conditions effected by the Exhibitor if it interferes with other companies conducting business in the exhibit space.
11. All demonstrations or other activities must be confined to the limits of the exhibitor’s space. Distribution of circulars may be made only within the space assigned to the exhibitor distributing such materials. No advertising circulars, catalogs, folders, or devices shall be distributed by exhibitors in the aisles, meeting rooms, registration areas, lounges, or grounds of the host facility. Trade publications may be distributed from their booth, but automatic distribution is prohibited.
12. In order to maintain a professional atmosphere, prevent copyright infringement, and maintain a code of ethics, TAICEP does not permit the videotaping of sessions at the meeting without express permission from the TAICEP conference committee chair or Executive Director. TAICEP also does not allow photography, video/audiotaping, or entry into another company’s booth space without express permission from that company.
13. Exhibitors acknowledge their responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act to make their space accessible to handicapped persons. Exhibitors shall also indemnify to hold harmless TAICEP and the facility against cost, expense, liability, or damage which may be incident to, arise out of, or be caused by exhibitor’s failure to comply with the act.
14. This document represents the entire agreement between the Exhibitor and TAICEP and may not be altered unless mutually agreed upon in writing.
15. In the event that any provision of the Agreement or the application of any such provision to either TAICEP or the Exhibitor is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to any law, the remaining provisions of this Agreement will remain in full force and effect.
