This workshop aims to assist higher education institutions in evaluating their admission and recognition procedures against international agreed standards as laid down in the UNESCO conventions. The workshop will focus on the Spotlight self-assessment tool, a hands-on instrument developed to systematically review compliance with the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention. Spotlight is a relatively new tool and highly relevant for the TAICEP (potential) membership and community. Its initial use has enhanced transparency, fairness, and consistency in credential evaluation procedures. This workshop will provide an introduction to the tool and how to use it and will provide step-by-step guidance to participants who will make a solid start with the tool at the conference. Offering this as a workshop has the benefit that institutions can exchange practices with each other in a systematic way and create innovations by learning from each other.
