This workshop will equip attendees with essential skills for evaluating secondary credentials from diverse global education systems. Through interactive, hands-on activities, participants will explore key assessment methodologies, document terminology, grading scales, and academic streams. We will examine differences between national leaving exams, IB, EB, and other widely recognized credentialing models. Attendees will gain practical insights into benchmarking versus year-counting, accreditation standards, and oversight authorities. The session will also cover critical distinctions between national exams and school-issued documents while exploring how to develop internal policies for homeschool credentials, advanced standing, transnational education, document requirements, and credit systems. By the end of this session, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the complexities of international credential evaluation. Whether new to the field or looking to refine existing skills, this workshop offers valuable takeaways for professionals navigating global secondary education credentials.
*****Please note: Pre-conference workshops are held concurrently, so please do not sign up for more than one. They are also an additional charge and are not included in the conference registration fee.
