This session will provide an overview of the secondary education systems in the Caribbean (English/non-English-speaking countries/territories). Discussion topics will include the Caribbean Examinations Council examinations, similarities/contrasts, and updates on the educational reforms. Sample academic credentials will be reviewed.

(NOTE: The first 30 minutes of this session is for audience introductions.)

Presentation Learning Objectives1) Describe and provide participants with a better understanding of the different secondary educational systems in the Caribbean. 2) Identify the characteristics of the different educational systems based on the influence from other countries (i.e., France, Netherlands, United States). 3) Conduct a thorough review of the academic credentials from several countries in the Caribbean.
